A different day it was, since everyone thing went perfectly smooth and fine. Must be that the guy in the heaven know that it's my birthday!!! Hehe.. After I had my breakfast (mee swan - traditional chinese birthday noodles), I went to create a sub-domain for my younger brother, who's interested in using my site to blog. After this so-called test run by him, my sister will follow suit too! Looks like I'm finally really utilising this hosting. Wee.. Money not wasted! I'll change the template of this site as soon as my exams is over.
Did you know that in chinese calendar, today is actually the last day of CNY, the 15th day? That's why the moon so darn round today. It is such a perfect night for this 18th birthday boy... Back to topic... So my entire family had a last 捞鱼生 (lao yu sheng), and said all our wishes for this new year. What kinda made everyone laughed at that moment was after my mother wished that my grandfather will buy less TOTO, my grandpa countered us and said "TOTO 买多多". Piang! Wahahaha.. Joker sia.. But seriously man, I don't want to see my grandpa from getting into further trouble. I think he's really lonely and bored or something. He should really join my grandmother in her karaoke sessions at the CC. It makes you happy, and thus everyone will be happy!
After this, we went for a high tea in SEA's tallest hotel, Swissôtel The Stamford to celebrate the 1-month old of my niece. All I can say is that my cousin is married to a person called "Robert Yap". He is the CEO of a logistic YCH company, which was passed down to him by his father. Lives in Bukit Timah region, so yea.. he's one of those rich peeps. It's my very first time actually going to this hotel's private area. It was so darn cool. It got a private lift, that goes superfast all the way up to level 69, where they had organised this event. It was actually beside the famous Equinox Complex Restuarant. You can actually see a bird-eye view of Singapore you know?
It was a fantastic experience, that I'll never forget. I'll most probably get some images that my bro has taken with hp and post it up here soon. You will be amazed I guarantee! Anyway, this party was attended by many foreigners and relatives. In the end, it's kinda like "East Meets West" thing. You know.. For the gifts, we gave a bracelet to the baby. I saw this super cute and big purple bear there also. Not only this, I also saw a chio bu distant relative. Hahaha... I wouldn't go into details for this! =P Erm.. Food. Okay. The food there is just alright ba. There's quite a variety down there, but mainly I just like their desserts mainly. Whahaha.. When I was checking out the cool view with my siblings, we saw this eagle soaring here and there. It's like once in a blue moon you actualy see this sort of things.
Movie time! Smoothly as I said. We went to the ticking booth, bought our tickets, and headed straight for the theatres. Lotsa ppl cried during the "I Not Stupid 2" show man. Haha.. Managed to hold onto my tears, and be a man! But then, sister called me "cold-hearted". No lor.. I very good one, just that I didn't want to have red eyes after the show, which was basically what happened for my mum and sis. The show was good I must say, except that I don't really like the new actor, who's ever blur in the show. The meaning there is so true. It is due to the negligence of the child's love, that led to such degration of a poor soul. I still remember when one actor wrote that his soul was dead. I was kinda heart-broken by this. Haiz.. Also, it shows the widening gap of the rich and poor society. It's like the rich just richer, while the poor get poorer. Yes, it stinks. And it is really hard to actually get out of the poverty cycle. Let's not be stingy and praise more to people le. I believe such things actually work, and in that way, people will be motivated to do their best, and strive hard for their company.
After the movie, we met our dad outside the Marina Squares cinemas (he watched fearless instead), and headed to the park to see fireworks. Just in time, the fireworks began once we got there. It was one hell of a sight, but not as great as the experience during the new year 2006 celebration. As our stomach started growling, my dad fetched us to our old hometown Pasir Ris, and ate some food there. Home sweet home at 11pm - Cake's ready! Made lotsa wishessss and blow the candles. The cake's good for sure. Chocolateee! *drools*
It's just sooo darn smoooth, and I still can't believe this. Hahaha.. Okie dokie. Time to head for my sack now. Ciaos!
